U.S. Immigration Legal Analyst (Remote)
Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented U.S. Immigration Legal Analyst to support the preparation and processing of non-immigrant and employment-based immigration matters. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with multiple visa categories and employment-based green card processes, including PERM and I-140.
This is a fully remote position requiring strong organizational skills, legal research ability, and knowledge of U.S. immigration regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Non-Immigrant Visa Case Preparation & Filing
- Prepare and file employment-based non-immigrant visa petitions, including:
- H-1B (Specialty Occupation)
- L-1A / L-1B (Intracompany Transfers)
- TN (USMCA Professionals)
- E-1 / E-2 (Treaty Trader & Investor)
- O-1 (Extraordinary Ability)
- P-1 (Athletes and Entertainers)
- R-1 (Religious Workers)
- F-1 (Students, OPT, STEM OPT)
- J-1 (Exchange Visitors)
- B-1 / B-2 (Business Visitors and Tourists)
- Prepare and file Labor Condition Applications (LCA) for H-1B and E-3 petitions
- Draft change of status, extensions, and amendments for non-immigrant workers
- Prepare dependent visa applications including H-4, L-2, and related work authorization filings
- Compile supporting documentation and organize petition packages for attorney review
Employment-Based Green Card Processing
- Prepare PERM Labor Certification applications in compliance with DOL regulations
- Draft and assemble Form I-140 Immigrant Petitions (EB-1, EB-2, EB-3)
- Assist with priority date tracking and immigrant visa strategy coordination
- Support adjustment of status (I-485) or consular processing documentation when required
Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of all filings and supporting documentation
- Maintain organized electronic case files and track case progress
- Monitor USCIS, DOL, and DOS updates, including policy changes and processing trends
- Track Visa Bulletin movement and notify attorneys of case impacts
- Ensure compliance with firm procedures and immigration regulations
Client & Case Management
- Communicate with clients regarding document collection and case status
- Send questionnaires and review responses for completeness
- Coordinate with attorneys, paralegals, and internal teams
- Manage multiple cases simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Assist in improving workflow and case management processes
Qualifications
- 2–4 years of experience in U.S. business immigration
- Experience handling H-1B, L-1, TN, E-2, O-1, P-1, R-1, F-1, J-1, and B-1/B-2 cases
- Experience with PERM and I-140 filings preferred
- Strong knowledge of USCIS, DOL, and DOS regulations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
- Experience working in a high-volume law firm preferred
